GRANTS WISHES CHOC Walk Team
In 2003, we participated in our first CHOC walk at Disneyland and California Adventure. Our team, the Memory Walkers of Shaun & Grant raised approximately $13,000.00 for CHOC. In 2004, GRANTS WISHES CHOC Walk Team raised approximately $12,000.00 for CHOC. In 2005, GRANTS WISHES CHOC Walk Team raised over $10,000.00 for CHOC. We have had almost 300 walkers over the past 3 years. We are looking forward to our next CHOC walk, on October 8, 2006. This is a Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) event if you would like to join our team, GRANTS WISHES, you can register in August at www.chocwalk.org or contact us.
Happy Meal Toy Collections for Treasure Boxes at CHOC
Grant’s brother, Trent, is collecting wrapped Happy Meal Toys for the treasure boxes at CHOC. He has collection boxes at home, McPherson Magnet School and KD’s Donuts. He delivers the toys to oncology and other treatment areas at CHOC. Many wonderful people have helped spread the word. The donations have increased due to collections by local Girl Scout troops, Anaheim Hills Elementary, Hephatha Lutheran Preschool, businesses, friends and family. A special thank you to the Newbry’s for their generous donation of new matchbox car sets.

Our First Casino Night A Great Success!
On November 26, 2005 we held our first Casino Night. We had a great turnout! The Anderson Home was a wonderful venue. The food, provided by Yves Bistro, was thoroughly delectable and fully consumed! The Casino Tables were always full. We had a great silent auction and opportunity drawing. Donated items contributed significantly to the success and fun of the evening. Our Casino Night 2005 sponsorship brochure was given out at the event and included with this newsletter, acknowledging our awesome sponsors. Thank you to all our guests, sponsors, supporters, volunteers, Starbuck’s and Rotary for their contribution to our successful evening. We couldn’t have done it without each and everyone of you! Starbucks Coffee Co. Event
On February 2nd & April 6th, 2006, Starbuck’s in Anaheim Hills & Anaheim chose GRANTS WISHES as the benefactor of the family and friends Grand Opening Events. Starbuck’s employees, friends and families were asked to bring toys that were donated to CHOC. GRANTS WISHES sold wristbands, window decals and accepted cash donations including the evening tips. Starbucks provided free coffee tasting and wonderful pastry samples. We all enjoyed a great evening. We appreciate Starbuck’s Coffee Co. and employees for all their support. Thank you!
